For starters, learn at least these things that completely ruin your website even before others see it:
- Using several font style. Just try to make it clear and simple, readable and consistent.
- Avoid annoying animations or flash that is unnecessary. This slows down page loading and bore users.
- Large images coz it eats up time for the page to load
- Avoid different navigation tools. Be consistent all across the site.
- Pop up message or windows. It is annoying to users and your site will look like an attack site.
- Adding a best viewed in a specific browser or resolution. Make it cross browser compatible so users with other types of browsers can see what your site has to offer.
